Simulator Evaluations on February 17-27, 1986. .
Simulator evaluations were administered to 24 randomly selected licensed operators divided into eight three-man crews, consisting of one Senior Reactor Operator and two Reactor Operators. These simulator evaluations were similar in both scope and content to routine licensing and requalification examinations.
The examiners found that seven of the eight crews responded in a knowledgeable and timely fashion to the events to which they were exposed during the simulator scenarios.

: 3. Exit Meeting At the conclusion of the site visit, the examiners met with representatives of the plant staff to discuss results of the evaluation.      Only one of the eight crews exhibited notable deficiencies during the simulator evaluations.
These deficiencies were discussed with the TVA staff who committed to conducting additional training for the three members of this crew, as well as ensuring similar problems do not exist among members of the operating staff who were not evaluated.
There were no generic weaknesses noted during the simulator evaluations.
The observation was made that cooperation and communication among the team members and use of the symptom-based emergency operating procedures were generic strengths in the seven crews that had no significant deficiencies.
