I am requesting this to address one of the comments by Dr. Cao (who reviewed the document in response our tuesday conference call). His comment is that standard practice is to note the date range and magnitude range (or minimum magnitude) on any figure showing seismicity. So, I don't actually say anything about it in the document, but I want to add it to the figure (I can add it to the annotation, PG&E doesn't need to update the figure) since he requested it. This will close out all the reviewers comments.

I'm not sure how much effort you put in documenting this as it has no bearing on the analysis. It's really the type of comment you'd make in reviewing a journal article.

FW: Preliminary Data for Seismic Discussion Alan -

Here is the information that Annie Kammerer requested.

The time period of all the slides that we gave to Annie on Nov. 20, 2008, covers the period October 1, 1987 to March 1, 2007.

The magnitude ranges for the seismicity data shown on the slides are:

Slide 2: Regional Seismicity Based on Local Velocity Model; M 0.1 to 6.5. The M6.5 earthquake is the 2003 San Simeon earthquake.

Slide 3: Seismicity Map and Cross Sections; M 0.4 to 3.5. Note, the magnitude range of the Shoreline seismicity trend within the box shown in this figure is also M 0.4-3.5.

Slide 4: Focal mechanisms; M 1.1 to 4.6. Note that the M 4.6 event, located at the north-northeast edge of the fligure, is an aftershock from the 2003 San Simeon earthquake.

Slides 5 & 6: Seismicity Comparison with raw (unprocessed) aeromagnetic data and Seismicity Comparison with raw (unprocessed) marine magnetic data; M 0.2 to 4.1. The M 4.1 event is also a San Simeon aftershock.

RE: Preliminary Data for Seismic Discussion Specifically, I need information related to the figure shown as figure 2 in the RIL. I need the date and magnitude ranges of the earthquakes shown.
