Dear Hr. Varga:

Pursuant to 10 CFR 2.101 and 50.34{b), the Mashington Public Power Supply System herewith tenders its Final Safety Ana'lysis Report for WPPSS Nuclear Project Ho. 2 (MNP-2).

In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.30(c)(3), fifteen (15) copies of the Safety Analysis Report and ten (lO) copies of the general information are attached for your completeness review. .Additional copies will be submitted as required upon notification of docketing.

Me have also attached an application and accompanying affidavit, as required by 10 CFR 2.790; requesting that certain confidential commercial information which is treated as "proprietary" by ourselves and our nuclear steam system supplier (The Genera1 Electric Company) be withheld from publi'c disclosure.

Four (4) copies of the proprietary material are attached for your use.

The security plan for MNP-2 (FSAR Section 13.6) is being prepared to meet the HRC ."Requirements for Physical Protection of Nuclear Power Reactors" and will be submitted as an FSAR amendment in December 19/8.:,Technical Specifi-cations (Chapter 16) will also be provided in an amendment. Since these two items represent a minor percentage of the total FSAR and are somewhat indepen-dent of the technical description

In that regard, we request that a meeting between our respective staffs be scheduled for the week of Apri1 24, 1978, to discuss the results of your acceptance revie~ and future scheduling of activities relating to the Mtlp-2 docket. Details of this meeting will be coordinated with the tlRC Licensing Project tlanaaer. Hr. Lynch.
