Dear Mr. Christian:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Matt Adams of your staff and Mr.
Daniel Arnett of this office on April 3, 2006 concerning a Category One public meeting which has been scheduled for April 19, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of your Surry facility. During the meeting we recognize that you may have information which you want to present to us or any members of the public in attendance. Accordingly, if you so desire, after our presentation you will be afforded an opportunity to respond to any information contained in the Annual Assessment Letter and to discuss any new or existing programs that are designed to maintain or improve your current performance.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
