This is a Category 1 meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion of the meeting but before the meeting is adjourned.
Purpose:
This is a pre-submittal conference call to discuss the planned license amendment requests (LARs) for Surry, Units 1 and 2, for approval of (1) the deterministic design limit for the VIPRE-D/BU-I code/correlation pair, (2) a Framatone realistic large break loss of coolant accident analysis, (3) the Framatone fuel thermo-mechanical performance analysis, and (4) the statistical DNB design limit for the AGORA fuel. The licensee also plans to discuss its planned exemption request for the batch use of M5 fuel cladding and a planned spent fuel pool criticality analysis.
