Dear Mr. Heacock:

By letter dated August 12, 2008, Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc. (DEK), submitted an application for renewal of Operating License DPR-43 for the Kewaunee Power Station (KPS). The staff of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the staff) is reviewing this application in accordance with the guidance in NUREG-1800, "Standard Review Plan for Review of License Renewal Applications for Nuclear Power Plants."

The application was amended by letter dated September 25, 2009. The amendment contained significant modifications including changing a plant-specific aging management program (AMP) into an AMP that is claimed to be consistent with the recommendations contained in the Generic Aging Lessons Learned Report.
