OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON JANUARY 12, 2011, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND PSEG NUCLEAR, LLC, CONCERNING AUDIT OF THE WESTEMS SOFTWARE PERTAINING TO THE SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of PSEG Nuclear, LLC held a telephone conference call on January 12, 2011, to discuss and plan for an audit held on January 18, concerning the WESTEMS© software referenced in the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 and Unit 2, license renewal application.

Enclosure 1 provides a listing of the participants and Enclosure 2 contains a brief summary of the discussion and status of the items. The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary. SUMMARY

OF MEETING ON PLAN FOR WESTEMS© AUDIT SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND JANUARY The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of PSEG Nuclear, LLC, held a telephone conference call on January 12, 2011, to discuss and plan for an audit on the WESTEMS© software that is used for analyzing and monitoring metal fatigue as mentioned in the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 and Unit 2, license renewal application.

During the conference call, the NRC staff outlined the documents that they would like to have available during the audit such as:

• All results of calculations

• Electronic files

• All supporting references such as WCAPs

• Calculation files

• All spreadsheets

• All assumptions used in running the calculations PSEG agreed to provide a list of documents that would be available.

NRC staff agreed to review the list and get back if they needed anything else. All these documents are proprietary except for the results developed in response to NRC bulletin '88-11. ENCLOSURE April 5, 2011 LICENSEE:
