SUMMARY

OF MEETING ON PLAN FOR WESTEMS© AUDIT FOR SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 JANUARY 12,2011 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of PSEG Nuclear, LLC, held a telephone conference call on January 12, 2011, to discuss and plan for an audit on the WESTEMS© software that is used for analyzing and monitoring metal fatigue as mentioned in the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 and Unit 2, license renewal application.

During the conference call, the NRC staff outlined the documents that they would like to have available during the audit such as:

• All results of calculations

• Electronic files

• All supporting references such as WCAPs

• Calculation files

• All spreadsheets

• All assumptions used in running the calculations PSEG agreed to provide a list of documents that would be available. NRC staff agreed to review the list and get back if they needed anything else. All these documents are proprietary except for the results developed in response to NRC bulletin '88-11.
