SHUTDOWN TO REPAIR VALVE LEAKAGE At 6:18 a.m February 11, 1986, the licensee determined that the unidentified primary system leakage was slightly above the Technical Specification limit (1.126 gallons per minute compared to the limit of 1.0 gallons par minute).

As rcquired by the Technical Specifications, the licensee began a controlled shutdown and an Unusual Event was declared under the licensee's emergency plan.

The leakage is associated-with leakage past valve seats in portions of the Reactor Depr;ssurization Sytem. The licensee had previously planned a maintenance outag2 for the weekend of February 15, 1986, to correct known leakage in this system. The repairs are expected to require several days to complete.

The'R:sident Inspector will monitor the licensee's activities.

The State of Michigan will De informed.
