This planned reduction in power was to perform maintenance on a Main Feedwater Pump.

4 PERSONNEL CHANGES REQUIRING REPORT There was one management change in September 1988 which requires reporting pursuant to Technical Specification Figure 6.2-2. Mr. Dennis Yows is Manager, Environmental Protection.

! Mr. Yows was involved in the areas of emergency planning and radiation 1 protection during the last 10 years while working for the Arizona Nuclear

. Power Project and Hestinghouse. He was previously employed as Manager, Emergency Planning and Fire Protection, Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station where he had over 5 years experience in management in emergency planning. Mr. ,

Yows has a B.S. in Hildlife Biology from California State University Humboldt.

SlM1ARY OF CHANGES IN ACCORDANCE WITH 10 CFR 50.59 There were no documentation packages completed for facility changes, procedure changes, tests or experiments during September 1988.

MAJOR SAFETY RELATED MAINTENANCE, TESTS AND MODIFICATIONS NOT REQUIRING DETAILED SAFETY ANALYSES r

1. Mr.intenance was performed on the "A" TDI Diesel Generator, Hakeup Pump, "A" Decay Heat Pump, "B" Auxiliary Feedwater Pump, "B" Regenerant Holdup Tank, and the Nuclear Service Hater System. Vibration testing and monitoring was conducted on the "B" TOI Diesel Generator. Maintenance was i also conducted on the Bruce GM Diesels and the Control Room HVAC. i 1
2. ECN A-4194, Revision 0, installed an isolation valve in the Turbine Lube i Oi.i System to allow the Auxiliary 011 Centrifuge to operate on the feedwater Pump Turbine Sump and the Hain Lube Oil Centrifuge to operate on either Lube Oil Storage Tank without overfilling the Feed Pump Turbine Sump.

3. ECN A-4577 Revision 0, added 10-inch extensions to the rails on the spent fuel side A and B upender structures to improve operation / reliability of the fuel transfer system.

4. ECN A-5780, Revision 0, documents the addition of two Black Box Hodel 596 Error Controllers to the existing 9600 BPS modem link between the Rancho Seco plant computer and the Emergency Offsite facility HIDAS terminal.
