3.0 PREREQUISITES l

CAUTION: When lowering bonnet, do not allow discs to seat in the "closec" keep the position. Use actuator in " manual" cperation to valve in mid-stroke.

- Install a wiper ring and the lantern ring and verify its location corresponds with the leakoff piping; add or remove packing rings underneath the lantern and wiper as necessary.

- Install a wiper ring and then continue adding packing up to approximately 3/4" below the top of the packing chamber.

- Install a wiper ring and packing gland.

Post-maintenance testing may be postponed by Operations if the RHR system is required to provide cooling to the RCS.
