This work will require that the RHR system be isolated i
from the RCS. Since there will be only limited means of

providing decay heat removal from the core, j

cover will be available for installation on the valve body. This cover will serve to restore RHR system integrity, and its design is such that the RHR system may i
be placed into service with it in place. Should Operations declare the need for RHR, the craft shall IMMEDIATELY suspend all work pertaining to valve repair and begin j
installation of the cover. For this reason, all work activities shall be performed in such a manner so that installation of For example:
the cover can be performed expeditiously.
If replacement is required, studs should not be removed i
until replacement studs are available for installation.
Studs should then be replaced one-at a-time.
- Nuts should be accessible and easily found at all times.
- The cover and a bonnet gasket should be stored near the jobsite.

Attach rigging to actuator such tnat damage to valve disc and seat will be avoided. When bonnet is lifted to a point that the discs are accessible, install a clamping device on the discs to compress the disc spring. This will prevent the discs from contacting the seat faces.
CAUTION: Do not allow the discs to clear the seat ring unless the clamping device has been installed. If necessary, declutch the actuator while lifting the bonnet and use I
handwheel to close valve to maintain engagement until clamping cevice'can be installed.

thoroughly, and inspect threads for damage and loss of metal due to corrosion. Notify the cognizant engineer if damage / metal loss is found.
- Wnen installing replacement studs, use thread lubricant (Neolube, Dag 156, or equal) and install slowly (eg, ao not " spin" in). Verify a maximum of 9-1/2" of the stud extends above the valve body flange. (Stud height information to be recorded by craft.)
- Complete the Table 1.
(Stud numoering method may be determined in the field: numbering to correspond with toroue secuence is recommended.)
