The proposed ebenge would lower the turbine-eostrol-oil pressure scram set point from 1100 psig to 9C4 peig. The lower set point is regensted to reduse the frequeasy'et spuriens screes soeurring from this senser while emaipulating tho' turbine sentrola during startup.
An identical regnest for Dresden Units 2 and 3 was previously reviewed by as and aFProved em November 3,1971, as part of Chang,e Nos.16 and 3 to Facility Lisease Mos. BPR-19 and DFR-15, respostively. The turbines, electre-hydraulie-eentrol systems, and reactor proteatima systems of Quad-Cities Unita 1 and 2 are eenparabia with those of Dresden Units 2 and 3, therefore, we have eensladed that the proposed change does met present significant hasards seasiderations not described or implicit i
in the Safety Analysis Report and that there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered.
Aseerdingly, purseest to Section 50.59 of 10 CFR Part 50, the TWaar Spesifisations of Fasility Operating License Mos. DFR-29 and art-30 fee gend-Cities Units 1 and 2 are bareby shassed to imelade the s' we request by replacing pages 9, 23, and 34 with the revised pages emeload herewith.
