Installation of HPN and ENS Telephones for the Fort Calhoun Station Permanent Emergency Operations Facility (EOF)
The Omaha Public Power District is presently in the process of com-pleting the necessary work to the permanent E0F prio- to declaring it functionally operational by January 1, 1983.
It is the District's understanding that the Commission is responsible for ensuring that the HPN/ ENS telephones are installed in the E0F, located at the District's North Omaha Power Station. Therefore, to ensure these telephones are installed and operational by the January 1, 1983 implementation schedule, the District requests the Commission commence the necessary actions to install these telephones. In con-ducting your planning for this effort, please ensure that the existing HPN/ ENS telephones at the interim E0F at the Fort Calhoun Station are maintained operable until the subject telephones are fully operational at the permanent EOF. This will ensure the District maintains the necessary emergency preparedness capabilities during the transition to the new E0F. The District's interface for this effort is fir.
