~ g On March 8, 1982, Gulf States Utilities Company (GSU) notified Reigon IV of a deficiency potentially reportable under 10CFR50.55(e).

The deficiency concerned the amount of torque being applied to Power-Strut PS-10-RS spring nuts when the nuts were substituted as equivlent for Uni-Strut P1010 spring nuts. Each was being installed to the Uni-Strut requirement of 50 ft-lbs torque where Power-Strut spring nuts should have been installed to 60 ft-lbs torque.

GSU has not yet completed its investigation of the significance of this deficiency nor its evaluation whether the reporting criteria of 10CFR50.55(e) have been satisfied. GSU will provide a Status Report j of its investigation by May 28, 1982.
