Interim Report /DR-30 Gulf States Utilities Company (GSU) notified your office on December 2, 1981, of a potentially reportable condition concerning the interpretation of radiographs performed by B. F. Shaw Company (DR-30).

In order to establish reportability, GSU is reviewing the B. F.

Shaw radiographs performed prior to November, 1981. To date approximately 300 of 3476 radiographs have been reviewed. Where radiographic picture quality is questionable, the weld is reshot. No deficient wolds have been discovered to date.

GSU anticipates the review will continue for a minimum of six (6) months. An interim or final status report will be submitted by January 7, 1983.
