This telecopy is to confirm the conversation between Mt. D. R. Haverkamp, Region - - -

reportable per TMT 1 Technical Specification 6.9.2.A.(9).

• 7hc cociputer room air conditioning unit (AH-E-108) ductwork penetrates the vall

• between the Control Building and the Fuel Handling Building at Elevation 335. .'

The unit and the ductuork penetrating the wall have not been seismically qualified,  :

and there are no radiation interlocks to close the dampers or shut down the fan unit. '

Therefore, there appears to be a potential for this installation to allow contamin-

• ated air from the Tuc1 !!andling Building to enter the area served by the Control Room Ventilation System, assuming an airborne contamination event in the Fuel Handling Building.
