'Ihe subject of concern was eleven pipe supports installed inside(thes .T\p drywell that were painted with paint not qualified for use in thatNC environment. A 30-day status report was submitted on March 18, 1982, which conmitted to provide additional information by April 19, 1982.

This letter fulfills that conmitment.

GSU has completed its investigation and has concluded that the deficiency had it gone uncorrected would not have affected the safe operations of the plant. Therefore, this deficiency does not meet the reporting criteria set forth in 10CFR50.55(e).

N&D No. 2144 has been issued to correct the deficiency. 'Ihis con-cludes GSU's response concerning this subject.
