Docket Nos. 50-458 On November 13, 1981, Gulf States Utilities (GSU) informed Region IV of an accident at the River Bend construction site (R j- .

M" which involved the dropping of'an I-Beam-inside the Reactor Building and that GSU-was reviewing the accident for-reportability under 10CFR50.55(e). On December 11, 1981, Mr.

Crossman of' Region IV approved a GSU request for an extension until January 8,1982, for submittal of the ' status report GSU committed to provide.

GSU has completed its investigation and has concluded that

-the accident does not meet the reporting r_equirements of 10CFR50.55(e) because this isolated incident will not require significant expenditure of manhours to correct the damage. This

-concludes GSU's' response on this matter.-
