BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 MD 2 - TENSILE ANCHOR CAPACITIES

  • LOWER THAN DESIGN ALLOWABLES - NCR CEB 79 SIXTH INTERIM REPORT .

The subject nonconformance was initially reported to NRC-0IE Inspector T. Burdette on February 12, 1979, in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e).

This was followed by our interim reports dated March 14, May 17, July 30, and December 17, 1979, and February 29, 1980. IVA is pro-gressing with its testing and evaluation programs for welded stud anchors with flexible plate connections. We expect to submit our next written report by September 5, 1980. This deficiency v..s also reported for Watts Bar, Sequoyah, Hartsville, and Phipps Bend Nuclear Plants.
