Dear Mr. Knighton:

Enclosed, herewith, are 25 copies of the Fall, 1978 Quarterly Report on the Bailly Generating Station's Nuclear - 1 Ecological Monitoring Program. This is the 18th Quarterly Report on this work.

The Fall, 1978 quarterly Report contains analyses and interpretation of data for the period October through December,1978, plus such data as was not completed for inclusion in the previous (Summer, 1978) quarterly report. No collection of data was scheduled for aquatics in October or December,1978, or for terrestrial in November or December.

In general, no major population fluctuations in aquatic or terrestrial conmunities were noted in the Bailly Study Area from Nuclear - 1 construction efforts.

In sumnary, there continues to be no discernible effects to the environment due to construction of Bailly Nuclear - 1.
