Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) submittei!~ ,~',-

safety-related pile installation procedures (pile driving QA/QC procedures) for Staff review on July 14, 1978.

During the subsequent review of the Bailly N-1 pile design by the Staff, ACRS, and Army Corps of Engineers, detailed pile place-ment requirements in addition to those included in the original pile installation procedures were submitted by N1PSCO. Such additional detailed pile placement requirements will, of course, be incorporated into the July 14, 1978, pile installation pro-cedt.res prior to installation of safety-related piles for Bailly N-1.

The revised procedures will be available for NRC review prior to commencement of such installation.
