JONES Secretary Departaent of Enviro tal Resources ll The follawing concern should be added to the DepartmentIs comnents on this Draft Environmental Sta~t (6) Air Quality The Draft ES should consider the possible syste~de effects of use of the Suscpehanna Steam Electric Station as a new base-load facility. The Depm~ent would anticipate that one or anre coal-fired stations in the system would consecpently became peak:ing or stand-by facilities. This may cause increased emissions unless aeasures are taken to avoid rmre frequent cold start-ups. The effects'n ambient aix~ity be studied.
