As stated in previous correspondence, this modification is a segment of the ongoing Megawatt Improvement Program and involves removal of the RRC System flow control valves and installation of ASDs

Page Two MEGAWATT IMPROV&<EENT PROGRAM REACTOR RECIRCULATION SYSTEM (RRC) ADJUSTABLE SPEED DRIVE (ASD) INSTALLATIONSCHEDULE In the referenced correspondence, completion schedule information was provided pertaining to installation of the ASDs, with the most recent being a completion date of June 30, 1994, as reflected in Reference 5. However, due to higher priority requirements, current plans are to install the ASDs during the R-11 annual maintenance and refueling outage (currently scheduled for Spring 1996). Accordingly, the appropriate licensing documentation will now be submitted to the NRC by December 31, 1994, to support the revised completion schedule.

In addition, a supplement to LER 92-037 will be submitted to reflect a revised ASD completion date. The supplemental LER will be submitted to the NRC by June 18, 1993.
