Dear Mr. Rencurrel:

By letter dated October 25, 2010, STP Nuclear Operating Company submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54 (1 0 CFR Part 54), to renew operating licenses NPF-76 and NPF-80 for the South Texas Project (STP), Units 1 and 2, for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This letter is to inform you about a schedule change in the STP license renewal review.

In September 2013, the NRC completed its environmental review of the application The final Supplemental Environmental Impact State (SEIS) is now being reviewed for publication as a NUREG and is projected to be published in November 2013. When the FSEIS is published and made publicly available, the staff will file the SEIS with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and a copy of the associated Federal Register notice will be provided to you for your information.

Enclosed is the revised schedule for the environmental review of the STP license renewal application. The schedule has been updated to reflect a change in the date of the issuance of the FSEIS.
