Inspection of construction activities indicated that work in all Categcry 1-areas,'i.e., safety-related' work, remains cerminated in accordance with NRC confirmatory order dated August 15, 1979, except for material receiving,. storage, and maintenance and receiving-inspection activities. Two inspections were also conducted during off shift periods.

Storage and Preservation of Material and Equipment The Resident Inspector observed the storage conditions and maintenance activities.in laydown areas, warehouses, and interim storage in the

Verification Program,. Final Report" dated September 12,1980.
This review is generic for content and will continue into the next reporting

Review of Previously ' Reviewed Nonconformanccs and Corrective Action Reports The Resident Inspector reviewed Special Process Procedure SPP-23, titled
" Verification of the NCR Review Committee's Review Documentation and Curren: NCR Status" Revision i dated September 12, 1980. The review also consisted of the " Final Report of Special Process Procedure 23" dated: September 23, 1980. Based on this review and a sampling of supporting quality records, this procedure and resulting report are

considered adequate and responsive to commitments made to the NRC and

Thixton, State of Indiana - District Building Offical, Administrative Building Council met ~with the Resident Inspector to discuss the responsibilities of the NRC andithe State of Indiana in their respective regulatory roles. Messrs. Brewer and'Evarts of PSI. also attended.
