Independent Inspection Effort The inspectors conducted a general inspection of portions of the exterior and interior area of the reactor building and of the auxiliary building to observe plant preservation, housekeeping and storag The inspector observed significant corrosion of v' lvea bon'het fasteners-for the refueling water storage tank (RWST) piping adjacent to the RWST Similar corrosion was also observed in the piping. The licensee showed the inspector a memorandum that documented licensee walkdowns of the area that had previously identified the noted condition. However, the inspector was unable to verify that the corrosion had been identified as a nonconforming condition. Pending further NRC inspection, this was identified as inspector follow-up item 50-508/86-06-0 No violations or deviations were identifie . Readiness Review Program Oversight Committee - The licensee's Engineering Assurance Program and Construction Assurance Program, that were accepted by the NRC on October 25, 1985, and February 25, 1985, respectively, committed to the formation and utilization of an " oversight committee". minutes for their September 10, 1985, and January 21 andf22, 198 No violations or deviations were identifie Engineering Assurance Program (EAP) - The licensee had completed its reviews of Piping Stress Analysis problems and Pipe Support Design Calculations for the first EAP module. The results of the review were transmitted to the WNP-3 Program Director for review and for transmittal to EBASCO for dispositioning of the items identifie The transmittal memorandum stated that the reviews confirmed that piping and pipe support. design is in a preliminary status and significant work would be required to bring the design to a final auditable status.
