Site Tour =
LThe NRC inspector toured the reactor building, control room, and auxiliary
.buildin'gs to observe-construction in progress and to inspect housekeeping.
,
No. violations or' deviations were identified.
- 3.
In-Process Installation of Electrical Cables The NRC inspector observed the routing and pulling of electrical cables through multi-elevation cable trays and conduits.
The cables were " walked down" to verify that actual cable installation met
_ applicable requirements pertaining to routing, protection, and separation.
)
..
W The cables observed were:
a.
Cable No. A2CMAAC1FA Pulled From: A2VADP001 To: A2CMZLP153 i

The NRC inspector. verified'that the above,. cable routing and pulls agreed'
'"
,
with the issued cable installation cards:and cable inspection cards.
The-
!
purpose of the inspection was.to determine'whether:
cables,~ associated' materials, and pul' ling compounds were.as-
-
,
.specified;-
-
. pulling attachments and tensions' used were at:ceptable;
'
' raceway and conduit conditions were adequate:before cable was i
'
installed-I cable routing was correct;,
'l
-l
'
-
separation was maintained; and
' cable identification was preserved.
j During-this-inspection, t the NRC inspector observed that. Several craft and-QC personnel. invol'ved with cable pulling and installations also performed
. cable' pulling and installation activities for Unit 1.
It appears that the' experience and knowledge gained-from previous work habits has substantially: improved the overall capabilities of the craft _and~QC personnel. -The level'of. expertise and work habits' appears to indicate
';
that the lessons: learned from Unit 1 are being implemented into Unit 2's program.
,
- No violations or deviations were identified.
