Corrective Actions Taken for Melding Deficiencies On February 9, 1982, representatives of Florida Power and Light Company (FPSL)
met with members of the NRC staff in the Region II office.
The purpose of the meeting was for FP&L to describe their corrective actions taken in res-ponse to welding deficiencies identified by the NRC at St. Lucie 2 in Inspection Reports 50-389/81-22, 81-16 and 81-05.
The licensee stated that a broad program of independent inspection, evaluation and training had been undertaken to assure the installed systems-were as required.
FPSL representatives indicated their involvement and stated that a supplemental response of their actions would be submitted to the NRC by February 9, 1982.
The FP8L presentation was informed and permitted discussion.
Additional topics discussed included the Unit 2 construction schedule and verification of as-built installations.'.
