Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on July 31, 1981 with those persons indicated in paragraph 1 above.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings a.

(Closed) Item 389/81-09-01, Failure to Fallow the Procedures for Temporary Release of Nonconforming Items.

FP&L letter of response dated July 15, 1981 has been reviewed a.id determined acceptable by IE:II.

The inspector held discussions with licensee personnel and examined the corrective actions as stated in the letter of response.

The inspector considers that FP&L had determined full extent of the subject violation; performed followup actions to ccrrect the present condition and performed the nece;sary actions to preclude recurrences of similar circumstances.

The corrective actions identified in the letter of response have been implemeated.

Licensee Identified Items (LII)

The inspection reviewed the status of electrical associated LII with site personnel.

The following identifies the status of those items that were reviewed.

a.

(Closed) Item 389/80-10-02 " Cracked Terminal Lugs on EPA Terminations."

On 7-8-80, FP&L notified IE:II of a 50.55(e) item concerning cracked and broken electrical connections in two electrical penetration assemblies. The Construction Deficiency Report was submitted on

August 6, 1980.

The report has been reviewed and determined to be acceptable by IE:II. The inspector held discussions with responsible licensee personnel, reviewed supporting documentation, and observed representative samples of work to verify that the corrective actions identified in the report have been completed.

b.

(Closed) Item 389/80-06-01 " Containment Fan Motor Controllers." On April 11,1980, notified IE:II of a possible 50.55(e) item concerning containment fan cooler motor controllers that position relays. The Contruction Deficiency Report was submitted on June 2,-1980.

The report has been reviewed and determined to be acceptable by IE:II. The inspector held discussions with responsible licensee personnel, and reviewed supporting documentation, to verify that the corrective action identified in the report has been completed.

Electrical (Components and Systems II) - Observation of Work, Work Activities and Review of Quality Records The inspector selected the following electrical equipment for an examination: Battery 2A,125V DC Bus-2A, Class IE Inverter-2A, 125V DC Dist Panel-MA, LPSI pump motor 28, CCW pump motor 2B, HPSI pump motor 28, and Containment Spray pump motor 28. This electrical equipment was examined to assure that the requirements of SAR and QAM were complied with in the areas of storage, receipt inspection, iristallation, and separation.

Within the areas examined, no violations or deviations were identified.

Electrical (Cables and Termiantions I and II) - Observation of Work, Work

Activities, and Review of Quality Records.

The inspector selected the following safety - related electrical cables for an examination:

20252A-SB, 20290A-SB, 210098-SA, 210098-SA, 21001A-SA, 20220E-ASA and 20225F-SB. The cables were examined to insure that SAR and QAM were complied with in the are;s of storage, handling, identification, receipt inspection, installation, location, routing, raceway supports, raceway identification and cable nondestructive examination.

Within the. areas examined, there were no violations or deviations identified.
