This refers to your letter dated July 15, 1981, in response to our letter dated Nay 29, 1981.
Hith respect to your response to Item 2 of the Notice of Violation, the corrective steps described are acceptable.
However, your response does not address any system or controls that pertain to review of non-g work for possible impact on safety related components or systems.
The addition of rivets was a field change to the design o'f the steel structures and should have been subjected to appropriate evaluation and design control measures prior to installation.
Please prdvide an additional response that describes corrective steps that have been taken to avoid other situations in which non-9 >>ork may adversely impact on safety related components or structures.
Mith respect to your response 'to Item 4 of the,.Notice of Violation, the capability for detection sensitivities as delineated in the Purchase Specification 8856-J-27 was not evident in the data reviewed by the inspector.
Our inspector will review the Isotopic Standardization Data Sheets IT-767 referenced in your response in a future inspection to verify that they meet requirements.
Thank you for informing us of the other corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter.
These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed program.
