Licensee Identified Items (LER 79-057 and 50.55(e))
(Closed) Item 338/79-20-05 and 339/79-28-10:
Insufficient Capacity in the 4160 Volt Transfer su;ra. Cables and Breaker. The transfer buses supply power to units 1 and 2 normal and emergency A. C. buses from the reserve station service transformer (RSST) A, B and C when the unit generator (s)
are not operating. This arrangement is described in FSAR sections 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.
The licensee has completed design change 79-32, " Reserve Station Service Power Systems Modifications".. The design change corrected inadequacies in
'~
components carrying off-site jower from the RSST to auxiliary and emergency A. C. buses in units 1 and 2.
The following changes ware made in the plant distribution system.
a.
Added 5 inch circular buses from RSST A, B and C to the side of the turbine building.

-2-Transfer buses D, E and F were modified by eliminating the bus c.
connections to breakers 15A1, ISBI and 15C1, respectively.
d.
Undervoltage relay control circuits were modified to accommodate the changes in the distribution system.
The inspectors examined the as-built installation and quality records.
Within the areas examined, there were no items of noncompliance or deviations identified. This item is closed.
6.
Independent Inspection Effort (Units 1 and 2)
