COMMEhT 2 HPCI fixed pipe hanger (IE41-20FH13) (trapeze type) for 10 ins. pipe not located in center of cross bar as shown on detail drawing located about 3 ins. off center in between hangers located 2 f t.

11 ins. apart.

(0ft center reported to be no problem.)

COMMEhT 3 HPCI fixed pipe guard support plate for pipe guide (IE41-60PG7) not full weld in attacament to support beam (reported to be no problem designed with weld skips to allow for differential expansion).

COMMEhT 4 One core spray pump discharge piping snubber (2E21-15SS20) located 1 ft. 3 ins. off from dimensions as shown from valve on as built drawing 9527-D-6565.

COMMEhT 6 RCIC snubbers (2E51-40SS84 and 2E51-40SS86) at locations #257 and #258 nucbers were swapped from as shown on as built drawing 9527-0-2846 (drawing will be revised).

COMMEhT 7 Core spray fixed pipe supports (2E21-40FS90) located 1) ins. closer to slidding support than as shown on as built drawing 9527-D-6567.

The problems as identified above by the NRC inspection were reviewed with the licensee and he discussed them with the United Engineers and Constructors (UE&C) Engineer who performed the seismic analysis.

The resolutions to Comments 1, 4, 5 and 7 are discussed in Attachment 3 of CP&L correspondence to b'RR (T. A. Ippolito) Serial GO-79,1401 of May 29,1979. These resolutions as determined by a stress analysis showed no adverse impact on the pipe stresses.

The licensee indicated that where significant discrepancies

existed between the as built systen and the drawings; i.e.

Locations12-272, 12-257 and 12-258 the drawings would be changed. Maintenance items identified during the inspection such as loose jam nuts, missing nuts and bolts and mis-alignments were identified to the licensee, and he promptly prepared work request to have these corrected.
