- Denotes those present at the exit intervie Functional or Program Areas Inspected Welding and Related Activities for Steam Generator Shells Conditions of fit up and cleanliness of the weld area were observed for the "C" generator prior to the start of weldin Preheat temper-atures were also checked and found to be acceptable to specificatio The "A" generator was upended and placed in position for welding the girth sea The fit up and cleanliness were acceptabl The "B" generator welding of shells was nearly complete and will be
given a post weld heat treat (PWJIT) at 1100-1200 F when heating equipment is place *
e CBI weld procedure E8018 NM/91534 is used to weld the shells togethe The sequence is to weld in the areas where a root gap exists and then to bring out the weld evenly around the entire girth using from 2 to 6 welder Issuance of electrode was controlled and scrap electrodes were being collected properl The following NDT is performed on each generator girth wel. MT weld prep (Y6 adjustable yoke).
