has issued Amendment No. 42 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-58, and Amendment No.

24 to Facility Operating License No.

DPR-74 issued to Indiana and Michigan Electric Company (the licensee),

which revised Technical Specifications for operation of Donald C.

Cook Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos.

and 2 (the facilities) located in Berrien County, Michigan.

The amendments are effective as of the date of issuance.

The amendments add locked, or secured valves.to the surveillance requirements of valves in the Auxiliary Feedwater System.

The application for the amendments complies with the standards-and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations.

The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendments.

Prior public notice of these amendments was not requi red since the amendments do not involve a significant hazards consideration.

has issued Amendment No, 19 to Facility Operating License No.

DPR-74 issued to Indian and Michigan Electric Company (the licensee),

which revised Technical Specifications for operation of Donald C.

Cook Nuclear Plant, I

Unit No.

2 (the facility) located in Berrien County, Michigan.

The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.

P The amendment revises the maximum Tavg at Rated Thermal Power used for.the overtemperature and overpower delta T trips and departure from nucleate boiling (DNB) limits.

The amendment also deletes license conditions which required modifications for leak testing certain containment isolation valves and installation of qualified 600 volt containment power penetration circuits.

These modAications and installations have been completed.

The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act),

and the Commission's rules and regulations.

The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendments

Prior public notice of the amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of the amendment.
