Dear Sir or Madam:

In Reference 1 Entergy Operations Inc. (Entergy) submitted a request for \

an amendment to the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS), Unit 1.

During the review of this request the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) identified the need to reference the commitments contained in the standard TSTF. As discussed, Entergy proposed to include the reference with the current listing of the License Conditions.

Currently the GGNS Operating License has 39 conditions on pages 4 through 16 of the document. Entergy proposes to add a new condition referencing the commitments required by the standard TSTF safety evaluation. This new commitment will be included in Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) Section 16, "Technical Specifications." The proposed license condition also includes the provision to evaluate changes to the commitment through the use of the 10 CFR 50.59 process.
