NNECO comitted to include a discussion of planned monitoring of future conditions of the containment basemat structure in a response to a more recent request for information from the NRC Staff, of February 24,1998 by April 10,1998.

Completion of the safety evaluation requested in the Request for Additional Information (RAl), of February 24, 1998 has been delayed. This will result in a delay in the submittal of our discussion of the planned monitoring of future conditions of the l containment basemat structure until April 17,1998. l NNECO commitments associated with this letter are provided in Attachment 1.
