  • Effectiveness of Licensee Controls in Identifying, Resolving, and Preventing Probleme," at Millstone Unit No. 3. In a follow-up letter on December 30,1997, we provided an update of our status and agreed to apprice you of our progress. In preparation for the performance of this inspection, NNECO has completed assessments of the elements associated with the inspection scope. Based upon these assessments, we have determined that we will be ready for this inspection on February 9,1998.

Nuclear Oversight has performed their own independent assessments and concur with this conclusion. An Inspection Response Team has been established to work with your staff, under the direction of Mr. Stephen Scace, Director of Engineering Programs.
