Effectiveness of Licensee Controls in Identifyino. ResoMna. and Preventina Problems Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO), committed in a November 5,1997 letter to notify the NRC when ready for the performance of the 40500 inspection,

  • Effectiveness of Licensee Controls in Identifying, Resolving, arid Preventing Problems," at Millstone Unit No. 3. In preparation for the performance of this inspection, NNECO has completed assessments of the elements associated with the inspection scope. Based upon these assessments, we have projected our readiness for this inspection to be January 5,1998. We continue to work on various action plans developed from these assessments which will improve the overall status of the various programs that the NRC Inspection Team will review. An Inspection Response Team has been established to work with your staff, under the direction of Mr. Stephen Scace, Director, Engineering Programs.
