The containment atmosphere hydrogen analyzer was removed from service for maintenance because return sample pump was cycling.

Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 at 50%

Unit 2 at 100%

Action specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements met due to inoperable equipment. Describe.

None Apparent Cause of Occurrence: -

B hydrogen analyzer sample return pump cycling, cause unknown.

Analysis of Occurrence:

There was no danger to the health or safety of the public, no release of activity, no damage to the plant or equipment, and no resulting significant chain of events.

Corrective Ac' ion:

A gas calibration of the llayes-Republic model 643 hydrogen analyzer was performed per SI 4.7.H and the analyzer was returned to service. The cycling problem described in this LER has not recurred.
