CSB:DSI The Containment Systems Branch (CSB) has completed the review requested under TACS No. 54808. This review involved a set of Technical Specifica-tions (TS) problem sheets for the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1, as prepared by MP&L. The problem sheets were in two categories: one cate-gory includes those for which the resolution proposed by MP&L would re-quire TS changes (342-372); and the other includes those for which the MP&L proposed resolution would involve FSAR changes (815-832). We have reviewed these sheets to determine the problem sheet numbers for which the staff believes TS changes are needed for a full power license amend-ment.

The CSB has identified four (4) TS problem sheets which are within its scope of responsibility. They are 817, 818, 823, and 824. We have deter-mined, however, that none of these items need to be resolved prior to authorizing full power operations.

Should you have problems or questions with our assessment, please contact us.
