6 Reactor Oversight Process

7 Types of Inspections

• Baseline Inspection Program

- Minimum level of inspection conducted at all facilities regardless of their performance.

• Reactive Inspections (e.g., Special Inspections)

- Events involving reactor facilities are investigated in a timely, objective, systematic and technically sound manner.

• Supplemental Inspections (e.g., IP 95001)

- Applies NRC inspection resources in a graded manner when risk-significant performance issues are identified.

• The Special Inspection team identified a White Finding (3Q23) related to inadequate maintenance practices for the1A emergency diesel generator.

• Supplemental Inspection (IP 95001) was recently completed, and the plant transitioned from the Regulatory Response to the Licensee Response Column effective March 21, 2024.
