C.2.2. Licensee Prerequisites for the Alternate Review Process

2. A reference to an NRC-approved DI&C topical report. The proposed DI&C modification should reference (i.e., be based on) an NRC-approved DI&C topical report. The NRC-approved DI&C topical report is also referred to as the -A version. This reference should address the following:

a. The proposed DI&C modification should be within the scope of the referenced topical reports applicability.

b. The extent to which the vendor of the NRC-approved topical report, or a supplier with an approved 10 CFR Part 50, Domestic Licensing of Production and Utilization Facilities, Appendix B, Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants, quality assurance (QA) program, commits to performing detailed software design, implementation, and testing in accordance with the approved topical report.

DI&C-ISG-06 ALTERNATE REVIEW PROCESS (ARP) PREREQUISITES l PBAPS ECCS COMPENSATED LEVEL SYSTEM REPLACEMENT PROJECT 4

• ISG-06 C 2.2.2b was changed in Revision 2 to include the phrase "or a supplier with an approved 10 CFR Part 50, Domestic Licensing of Production and Utilization Facilities, Appendix B, Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants, quality assurance (QA) program.

• This phrase gives the option to the licensee to select a safety-related supplier, other than the Original Equipment Manufacturer, if the licensee has approved the safety-related suppliers QA program in accordance with 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B DI&C-ISG-06 LICENSEE PREREQUISITE 2.b UNDERSTANDING l PBAPS ECCS COMPENSATED LEVEL SYSTEM REPLACEMENT PROJECT 5

Peach Bottom

• Has an NRC-approved QA program

• Selected Curtiss-Wright as a safety-related supplier

• Approved the Curtiss-Wright QA program in accordance with 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B.

• Satisfies DI&C-ISG-06 Licensee Prerequisite 2.b

• Will continue to pursue use of the ARP related to the DI&C License Amendment Request DI&C-ISG-06 LICENSEE PREREQUISITE 2.b APPLICATION l PBAPS ECCS COMPENSATED LEVEL SYSTEM REPLACEMENT PROJECT 6
