REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING CENTRUS ENERGY CORP. AMERICAN CENTRIFUGE OPERATING AMERICAN CENTRIFUGE PLANT PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER: L-2022-SPR-0005)

Dear Kelly Fitch:

This is in regard to your physical security plan (PSP) submitted by letter dated June 14, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML22230C917). In your submittal, you provided changes made to the PSP under 10 CFR 70.32(e) and 70.34. Our review of the changes to the PSP has identified that additional information is needed before final action can be taken. Please provide your response within 30 days from the date of this letter.

Pending your response, we anticipate completing our review of the PSP by October 31, 2022, or at the time we complete our review of the classified matter security plan that was also part of the amendment request dated April 7, 2022 (ML22102A092), whichever is later. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR), or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. The PDR is open by appointment only. You may submit your request to the PDR via email at PDR.Resource@nrc.gov or call 1-800-397-4209 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.
