This refers to the enforcement conference conducted at the request of the NRC
at the Region IV office on November 4, 1986. This conference related to
activities authorized by NRC License R-78 for the University of Kansas Nuclear
Reactor Facility. This conference was attended Sylyou, other representatives of
the university, and NRC Region IV personnel.
. The subjects discussed at this conference are described in the enclosed
meeting summary.
It is our opinion that this enforcement conference was beneficial and has
provided a better understanding of'the NRC regulatory requirements as they
relate to your reactor program. In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's
" Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of
