The Bloomsburg Bell Telephone Company operator received a phone call Thursday night (licensee unaware of time).from a man who stated that a l j

bomb will go off between 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight, at the Susque-  ;

hanna site. The operator traced the call to a Bloomsburg pay phone j station. She notified the Hazleton State Police who in turn informed i the Shickshinny (near site) State Police. The licensee was informed of pg the bomb thrsat by State Poli:e at 12:50 a.m. The licencee stated that ,

j the communications for this bomb thrpat was very poor. The FBI will be

' notified by the licensee. The State Police are investigating this bomb l

threat. I Media interest is expected because of current news interest involving I nuclear plants. The State of Pennsylvania has been and is being kept informed. A press release is not planned.

NRC, Region I, Philadelphia, Pa. received notification of this occurrence by telephone from the ' licensee at 2:03 p.m., 6/4/76.
