Subject:
B0MB THREAT On May 26,1987, at 10:26 p.m., the secondary alarm station operator received a telephone bomb threat. The caller stated: "Who is this? This is security 7 I just want to inform you that there are three bombs planted at your site. One is at (message was indistinguish-able), one is at (message was also indistinguishable)-and the other is in your security building and they will go off tonight." The licensee immediately implemented their search
. procedures. The search was completed at 11:51 p.m. with negative results. The Pennsylvania State Police was notified. The FBI was not notified by the licensee.
The NRC resident inspector was notified by the licensee at about 8:00 a.m., May 27,1987.
The NRC Information Assessment Team and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have been notified.
This Preliminary Notification is issued for information only and is current as of 10:00 a.m. May 27, 1987.
