3.0 CENERAL REQUIREME;TS 3.1 Samples collected shall be representative of the fluid in the system such that the analysis will reflect the composition of the fluid. Out-of-spec analysis shall be verified by repeating sample collection and analycis. Mien out-of-spec conditions are verified, frequency of analysis shall be increased, as required, -

to evaluate and trend the chemical excursion.

Results for conductivity, pH and chloride should be verified by comparing the components in equilibrium with each other.

3.2 Miere continuous monitoring is used to monitor chemistry para-meters (such as conductivity, pH, etc.), grab sample analysis shall supplement and verify the results of the continuous monitoring equipment.

3.3 Analysis of main steam samples shall be performed for the purpose of ensuring turbine protection.

4.0 DETAILED REQUIREMENTS 4.1 Description of Intended Use - The requirements of this specifica-s (t tion are to be incorporated into the plant chemistry procedures.

SP-1302-28-001 4.2 Responsibility - It shall be the responsibility of the Plant Operaticus Department to implement and comply with the details of this specification. Additionally, plant operations shall be responsible for the compilation and trending of the result of analysis to ensure limiting conditions are not exceeded. The Chemical Engineering Section of Engineering and Design-Tech Functions will be responsible for the technical adequacy of and

! revisions to this specification.

, 4.3 Performance Requirements - All sampling preservation and analysis

shall be performed in accordance with and adherence to Standard l Methods, ASfM Standards (latest ed.) or approved equal.
