4. The automatically actuated containment isolation valves are designed to close upon high pressure in the containment structure. No single component failure in the actuation system will prevent the isolation valves from functioning as designed.

C. [pptainment Emeraentv Coolina System (Encineered Saftgaards)

A redundant safeguards system shall be provided to limit the containment internal pressure rise to a value less than the containment design pressure in the event of a loss-of-coolant incident, The system shall consist of two spray pumps, two heat exchangers, two spray rings and associated piping and valves, all designed and constructed in accordance with Section 6 of the FSAR. Sodium hydroxide solution is added to the containment spray for removal of iodine from the containment atmosphere.
