McCormick-Barger, Chief. Emergency Preparedness and Non-Power Reactor Secticn, NRC Region !!!, on January 14, 1993.
John Adams's letter of January 12, 1993, identified the actions you have taker, to correct the immediate problem of the shim safety rod reliability. However. -
the letter did not address the recurring nature of the _ stuck shim safety rod as indicated by a similar occurrence in December 1980 and your proposed long .
term corrective actions. The NRC understands that the facility is pursuing a "
long term solution and we will follow up your actions in a future inspection. -
