Clinton Power Station, Unit 1 Assignment of Illinois Power Licensing Engineer in Washington, DC

Dear Mr. Schwencer:

This is to inform you in conjunction with recent telephone conversations with Mr. Byron Siegel of your staff that the Illinois Power Company is assigning a full-time Resident Licensing Coordinating Engineer to Washington, D.C. to work with NRC Reviewers and members of your staff on questions concerning current and developing licensing issues related to the Clinton Power Station (CPS). This engineer, Mr.

Paul J. Telthorst, will be arriving in Washington the week of October 15, 1984 and is presently scheduled to meet with you and Mr. Siegel along with Mr. Harley Victor, Manager - Nuclear Station Engineering and myself on October 17.

It is anticipated that Mr. Telthorst will be able to assist you and your staff in expeditiously resolving questions the NRC may have relative to our plant. Upon establishment of an office location by Mr.

Telthorst, I will provide you with that information.
